Michael McAuliffe's campaign to succeed retiring State Attorney Barry Krischer has swept every competitive endorsement in announcing the support of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Editorial Board. These organizations and the leadership in our community confirm that Michael is the most qualified person for the job.
Mr. McAuliffe's personal history reflects his strong commitment to work hard and achieve excellence. Mr. McAuliffe paid his own way through college by obtaining several scholarships and working as a clerk in the Texas Attorney General's Office. Mr. McAuliffe also paid for his law school education by obtaining scholarships and working as a teaching assistant and as a research assistant at the National Center for State Courts. "I know the value of hard work and being accountable to yourself, your family and your community," McAuliffe said.
Mr. McAuliffe currently is an attorney in private practice in West Palm Beach, Florida. During his legal career, Mr. McAuliffe has been a prosecutor, a partner of a large national law firm, a law school professor, and a founding partner of a successful boutique litigation law firm.
In addition to his legal career, Mr. McAuliffe has been a leader in the community. Mr. McAuliffe serves as the 2007 Vice Chair of the Board for the Children's Home Society, South Coastal Division, and is the 2007-08 Co-Chair of the Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Mr. McAuliffe also serves as the interim President of the Palm Beach Cancer Institute Foundation. In 2007, Mr. McAuliffe was given the Special Recognition Award by the Urban League of Palm Beach County.
Mr. McAuliffe is married to Robin Rosenberg and together they have three children. The McAuliffe/Rosenberg family lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
